I did not try the HCG injections.. but I DID use Clomid (oral pills).
I did do the Clomid for 19 days until I decided that they weren't doing much. Although they did help with clearing the mental fog that comes along with low estrogen, I didn't feel safe using it for that long.

So, I'm assuming that it was the Clomid that worked. From the research that I have done, you are suppose to use 50 mg (1 pill) for 8 or so days. Stop for the next 22 days (like cycling for your period) and then start again for 8 days. Some women use it for 6 months, cycling, others do not. Some even use 200 mg- which I think is WAY too much. But most women do use it to help get pregnant.

Either way, I have my friend back! ;)Lorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11847109725476996535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2204525203968752098.post-34962937600130506412010-02-19T22:09:44.144-08:002010-02-19T22:09:44.144-08:00Ya I have the same question..was it the clomidor t...Ya I have the same question..was it the clomidor the hcg that kicked it in?Nellyhttp://www.wholeyfit.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2204525203968752098.post-10895089351136432972010-02-19T21:10:35.170-08:002010-02-19T21:10:35.170-08:00Between you and the Pure Twins, it's just alot...Between you and the Pure Twins, it's just alot of Visits going on today! I would love to be next! Since giving birth my cycle is whack. I am trying to move back to CA from AZ and once i get there will start up w/ my Ob/Gyn there who i trust. Was there any negative side effects to the clomid? Do you think it was the half dose of a hcg injection or the 19 days on clomid that did the trick? And yes, i agree PCOS is a nebulous diagnosis that is like a bandaid thing...there's more to it if you keep on digging type of thing.
Anyway I love this topic :)Averie @ Averie Cookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16647528150210772859noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2204525203968752098.post-1064805630922447102010-02-19T20:45:24.715-08:002010-02-19T20:45:24.715-08:00yay for periods!!!! :) happy for ya girl. that smo...yay for periods!!!! :) happy for ya girl. that smoothie looks DELISH!Camillenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2204525203968752098.post-82397062104903636862010-02-19T18:52:59.740-08:002010-02-19T18:52:59.740-08:00HAHA Love your comments with Kelly Michelle!! Hopefully everything pays off and the period stays for a long time.
And I'm happy that you were able to have your little boy! After two miscarriages, we finally have our beautiful 5 mo. old Drake. So, not that my case is anything like yours, I do feel for you, as I know all about hcg numbers, ultrasounds, etc, etc. Good luck and the good thing is now you are in know and maybe someday if you wish to have children, you'll already have a heads up on your female problems. Best of luck!Ally's Sweet and Savory Eatshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05386545618716236858noreply@blogger.com
